Our Concept

Welcome to Janji Laut Resort

In Bahasa Indonesia, Janji Laut means “a date with the Ocean”.
This notion of “rendez-vous” is at the heart of our concept as Indonesia is a land where
local people are always welcoming foreigners with a smile and genuine kindness.

The second meaning is “the promise of the Ocean”.
We hope that your stay will be an unforgettable memory of an honoured promise.

Promise or Date, we are dedicated to make it an amazing adventure and a unique experience for you.

Located thirty five kilometers West of Manado, nestled in the hillside, Janji Laut Resort overlooks the magnificent Bunaken National Marine Park, one of the world’s richest diving sites and best preserved marine biodiversity in Indonesia.
The resort is encrusted in a lush tropical garden connected to the sea through our little harbour and the shore, well protected by a range of old mangrove trees.
A large white water swimming pool covered with volcanic stones contributes to the relaxing and calm atmosphere of the garden.
We can pick you up at the Manado International Airport with our air-conditioned vehicle and taking you through the North Sulawesi countryside. After an hour and a half drive you will arrive at Janji Laut Resort and will be served a welcome drink in our lobby.
Enjoy the view before going down to your room through the garden.
Our team will welcome and assist you to settle down in one of the five wooden cottages built on stilts with high ceilings and a spacious terrace overlooking the sea. Your elegantly furnished rooms have air conditioning, an open bathroom with hot water, drinking water facilities and a mini bar.
As we are quite far from the city, our restaurant offers you a ½ half board (lunch or dinner) or a full board formula (lunch & dinner), which is flexible enough to accommodate your stay at the Resort or your tours outside the Resort.

For scuba divers, enjoy numerous diving spots and the amazing diversity of the marine life from micro fauna to pelagic and one lucky day you may even encounter the Dugongs.
The resort offers its guests other activities such as guided treks in the rain forests, the mountains and around the volcanoes of the main land, as well as a visit in the unique Tangkoko National Park.

Once you have arrived here, immersed in unspoiled nature, let yourself be lulled by the magnificence of this paradise. Benefit from the tranquility of this tropical garden, let your imagination run free on the sky blue ocean.
